Sausalito Beautiful announced that SWA, a prominent landscape architecture and urban design firm based in Sausalito, has agreed to create a comprehensive landscape improvement plan for the community’s Civic Center on a pro-bono basis. The plan includes plantings, lighting, signage, benches, decorative pots, and repaved building entrances.

At last night’s Sausalito City Council meeting, landscape beautification was ranked as the Number 1 Project Priority for fiscal year 2014–2015. This means that the City will provide significant staff time and resources for landscape improvement. Such a commitment, a direct response to citizen advocacy, has never before been made.
